MELBOURNE, 1 JUNE 2017 — Arts Centre Melbourne’s Gallery 1 will be transformed into The Kiln, a space for artists and arts workers to gather this winter from June to August for a program of discussions, masterclasses, networking events, residencies, readings, forums and training.
Tangerine ArtScape Art and Craft, provides the opportunity for Womens Housing Ltd clients to focus on mindfullness and mental wellness through Art and Craft practices.
Artwell is a weekly program for community members to work on mental wellness through art practices such as painting, drawing, sculpture and more. Participants are led by a facilitator to create new art, or are welcome to continue to work on their own practice. $5 per session. Wednesdays 10am to 12noon (during school terms).
Ventana Musica: The Journey of the Guitar - a musical narration of the vihuela's journey from Europe to the Americas in the 15th century and the transformations it underwent. From the vihuela to the guitarron chileno, each string instrument will shine by the hand of local musicians. Curated by Rosemary Hodgson.
