Artwell is a weekly program for community members to work on mental wellness through art practices such as painting, drawing, sculpture and more. Participants are led by a facilitator to create new art, or are welcome to continue to work on their own practice. $5 per session. Wednesdays 10am to 12noon (during school terms). Hi everyone, my name is Peter Fanton, and I am excited and proud to be facilitating the newly revised Artwell Program at Cube 37. As an artist, therapist and lived-experience Practitioner, it is important for me to advocate and align my professional Practice with creativity and with those who share my passion and curiosity in what’s possible!
Originally from Queensland, I have a career background which includes Teaching/Education, Community Development and Community Health, both in Australia and overseas. More recently I have completed a Graduate Diploma in Creative Arts Practice and a Masters (MA) in Therapeutic Arts Practice, specifically trained in multi-modal experiential therapeutic arts practice. I am also currently working part-time in Community Mental Health - Trauma-informed Practice.
