The Peninsula Arts Society

"FRIENDSHIP THROUGH ART"

The Peninsula Arts Society was formed on 11th March 1954, when professional artists across the Peninsula first came together at the Mechanics Hall in Frankston. Since then, PAS has grown to over 550 members and now has its own premises in Overport Road, Frankston South.

In 2006, PAS commenced major refurbishment to its building and it is now a bright, contemporary and well-equipped venue where members can paint, relax and enjoy the friendly atmosphere, excellent facilities and extensive art activities that are available each week.

We offer fine art tuition by an exceptional array of professional and renowned artists who can help you develop your creative skills, whether you’re a novice, intermediate or experienced artist.

Activities include:
• Weekly tutored classes
• Workshops and short courses
• Monthly demonstrations
(3rd Monday of every month)
• Social drawing and painting groups
• Art for young people
• Plein-air painting
• Social arts activities
• Writers group
• Textile art

The Peninsula Arts Society is proud of its position in local history as the original art society in Frankston.  It continues to flourish and prosper through the keen involvement of its members and in its vital interest in the visual arts scene.
