Hailing from small-town New South Wales, Ayleen O’Hanlon is a dyed-in-the-wool folksinger and banjoist, with a commanding voice, poetic turn-of-phrase and a skilled picker to boot. O’Hanlon is a seasoned performer whose knack for honest storytelling combined with an unmatched stage presence make her live show a rare thing to behold. Her songwriting evokes widescreen imagery, and when brought to life with with her four-piece folk band, the results are visceral, fierce and tender.
