One of the drawbacks to living life at a fast pace is that we start to wander away from the beauty that surrounds us. The Mornington Peninsula Region boasts some of the best, most unique coastal landscapes and scenery in Australia. The concept behind Coast to Coast – Through the Eyes of the Young is to convey the absolute intricate beauty of various Australian coastal landscapes in a diverse range of media, through the eyes of a young Australian.
The exhibition will unveil on June 8th, 2017 with a grand opening night from 6pm-8pm. An introductory talk by Josh Brnjac will commence, explaining the concept & vision behind the Coast to Coast project, as well as an exciting lineup of local public figures & politicians speaking. Throughout the opening night, locally-sourced drinks & nibbles, as well as barista-made coffee, will be served. On the last day of the Exhibition (Saturday 1st July 2017), an artist tour and talk with Josh will commence with a local networking event (details TBA).
An extensive range of work will be exhibited and for sale throughout the space, displayed on traditional & modern mediums such canvas, glass, framed prints & wall-sized fabric murals, as well as digital displays across a selection of walls, using high-resolution projectors. The release and showcase of the Coastal Collection scatter cushion homeware product range will also be launched and available for purchase.
"I aim for a visually immersive, photographic project & solo exhibition with the purpose to ignite the awe-inspiring realisation of what a magnificent part of the world we live in." - Josh Brnjac, 2017.
