Mary Jones

Check out Peninsula Poets, on Events page and Organisations page. One of them is me!

I'm a writer and performer - I've had short stories and poems published and read on radio, and plays performed by amateurs and professionals. I've worked a lot in amateur theatre as a writer, director, actor and in stage management - in fact in the am-dram world, you name it and I've probably done it at least once.

Recently I've extended my work as a poet, for both performance and page. I've performed at slams, classical music concerts, theatre events, fashion shows, in gardens and on a soapbox in the street. I'm a member of Peninsula Poets and the Mornington Peninsula Branch of The Fellowship of Australian Writers.

My poetry collection 'Lines Dancing' (cover image shown below) is available in print or as an e-book via Amazon or Lulu - you can find details and links on my blog at maryjonesthewriter.com

I'm also a retired maths teacher and tutor.
