Cara-Ann Simpson
I am a multidisciplinary artist with a focus on sculpture, sound, space and the participant. I am interested in modes of listening/hearing in social situations and how people interact with sound. Within my arts practice I work with interactive technologies (both digital and analogue), photography and image manipulation, sound, composition and installation, and regularly collaborate with engineers, artists and designers.
I have an extensive arts management & executive director background including being the former inaugural Director - Cruden Farm (Keith & Elisabeth Murdoch Trust), Curator - Bundoora Homestead Art Centre + Darebin Art/History Collections, Artistic Co-Director & Co-Producer - Electrofringe Ltd, and Mornington Peninsula Regional Properties Manager for the National Trust of Australia (Victoria).
