He is currently working on a series of visual poetry books, the Nocturnes and the Aubades.



Knot

Her hair is
not a sunrise,
her eyes are
not the stillness
of billabongs,
she does
not live in a house
without flowers,

his words are
not waterfalls,
his hands
do not hold oceans,
he does not eat
the fruit
of the forest floor,

he is
not the shadow
of her dreaming,
she does
not begin where he
ends,

they are
not moonlight lovers,
they are
neither the tumbling waves
nor the seaweed
blackening on the shore,
they do
not cradle the fire
in their arms
and sing to it.
