Jenny Wood
In her previous life she was a Disability Service manager and then a TAFE teacher but now she is just a nerd with a passion for eLearning and art!
A full time eLearning consultant by profession, Jenny Wood is an Australian artist and illustrator from Melbourne who explores the whimsical and quirky as well as more classical styles of art. She studied Fine Art with Curtin University and couples her creativity with her skills in eLearning, multimedia and animation to combine children’s books and other art and illustration with accompanying animated videos and ebooks.
Jenny has a background in education, including with people with disabilities and also in the adult vocational learning sector. Her more recent experience in eLearning design, development and support has enhanced her efforts as an illustrator and enabled her to develop digital as well as traditional print versions of children’s books.
Jenny has studied a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Visual Culture with Curtin University and was studying a Bachelor of Illustration with NMIT until her recent tango with breast cancer. If anything, her health journey has pushed her artwork forward and given her time and refuge to improve and diversify her skills.
