Always Working Artists is the company of director Jeremy Rice and playwright Kate Rice, the company name indicating Jeremy and Kate's extensive experience working for other companies, productions and cultural institutions including every Australian television network, theatre companies in Sydney, Darwin and Perth, and local and overseas feature film projects.

In 2013, Jeremy and Kate relocated to Melbourne, to produce new work in Victoria targeting young audiences.
