The Melbourne Prize for Urban Sculpture 2017, through proposals for an artwork or a completed artwork, will inspire creativity of sculpture in the urban environment and how it can enrich and inform public life.

Finalists

Six (6) finalists will be selected to exhibit their entered work at Federation Square from 13 to 27 November 2017. Federation Square should be viewed only as the exhibition space. An entry does NOT have to be developed specifically for this space.

The finalist exhibition is supported by Federation Square.

Artist fees

An artist fee of $4,000 (incl.GST) will be provided to each of the six (6) finalists in the Melbourne Prize for Urban Sculpture 2017 to assist with the costs of preparing entries for the public exhibition at Federation Square. The artist fees are generously supported by C H (Roger) Brookes.

Entrants in the Melbourne Prize for Urban Sculpture 2017 may submit either a completed artwork or a proposal for an artwork.

The Melbourne Prize for Urban Sculpture 2017 is supported by The Vera Moore Foundation, The Tallis Foundation and the Melbourne Prize Trust.
