Wednesday 30 August – Minna Gilligan
Minna Gilligan’s practice speaks of 70s psychedelia, technicolour dreams and fleeting personal encounters with nostalgic romanticism. She works primarily with painting, drawing and collage. Following exhibitions at Heide Museum of Modern Art and Castlemaine Art Museum, MPRG is pleased to present an exhibition of her collages. Minna is an Instagram superstar, she illustrates for Rookie Magazine and makes music with local band Pamela, amongst other things.
Wednesday 13 September – Gosia Wlodarczak
Experiential artist Gosia Wlodarczak draws her environment as she sees it in real time, tracing and re-tracing outlines of real things in a continuous process of meeting, overlapping and colliding a drawn line in endless movement. Hear how Gosia transformed the walls of the café area into ‘A Through Grey Room’ installation.
