Ross Manning is an artist, instrument builder and musician. Join Manning on a walk through his exhibition where he will explain how life literally enters his art via kinetic animation of objects and movement of light beams. Be it the humble ceiling fan or a household fluorescent tube, Manning will discuss how he uses coloured light as a sonic element and sees “music and colour as interchangeable”. Enjoy a unique performance where Manning will play hand-built percussive and electronic instruments, creating a musical improvisation that will enliven, respond and harmonise with his dazzling light installation.
